LIGHTSPEED SABER FENCING FOR KIDS & ADULTS
Lightspeed Saber Academy teaches the sport of Lightspeed Saber fencing using an illuminated LED sword. The rules are designed to simulate authentic plasma sword fighting with unique strategies and techniques. CITY NEWS Signal Box Art Program The Signal Box Art Program aims to transform Westminster’s 62 traffic signal boxes into vibrant works of art that represent the cultural diversity and unique character of Westminster. These metal boxes will be transformed into works of art created by local artists to enhance the streetscape, celebrate community identity, support local artists! Each signal box will include a plaque with the artist’s name, design title, and installation date — and a unique identifier linking back to an interactive map on the city website where you can explore all art installations across Westminster.
ARTIST STIPEND Selected artists will be awarded a stipend of $750 to cover material costs associated with installation of the Signal Box Art.

Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Services RACES are Public-safety volunteers which are licensed Amateur Radio Operators that are trained to assist local government during time of emergency and disaster or for routine events and activities. They are trained and certified to provide public-safety communications support. Westminster RACES are looking for licensed Ham Radio Operators to perform vital volunteer communications during Westminster Community Events and Disaster or Emergency Incidents. Community Emergency Response Team The West Orange County Community Emergency Response Team or CERT Program is comprised of those who live and/or work in Buena Park, Cypress, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Rossmoor, Seal Beach, Westminster and their attached communities. CERT members give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to affected individuals and organize volunteers at a disaster site.
