SUMMER Programs open for registration on May 13, 2026 at 6:00 pm and can either be completed online or by phone. All information is subject to change based on staffing and budget approvals.

β’ When registration opens, simply leave ONE voicemail: This process timestamps your call and reserves your spot in the queue. A staff member will call you back in order of sequence. It may take up to 2 hours to receive a call back.

β’ After registering by phone, you can pay later through your online account with a credit card or pay at the Municipal Office (76 Morison Drive, Windsor) or the Hants Aquatics Centre (open June 3, 306 Stannus St, Windsor) with cash or debit. Payments are due 5 business days before the program begins. If payment is not received, you are removed from the program automatically.

The Hants Aquatic Centre Pool House will open on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 9:00 am β 4:00 pm for payments, pass sales, questions, and information: 902-798-8391 ext 228 or aquatics@westhants.ca
The pool will open to the public on Wednesday, July 1, 2026! The Live schedule will be available the first week of June at www.westhants.ca/poolschedule or scan the QR code above. Make sure to check the live calendar before each visit! Tip: If you double click on the swim title in the live schedule, it will open with more details. Print schedules will be available at the HAC.


Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (15 years and up):
β’ Children 9 β11 years old must be actively supervised by an adult on the pool deck β A GREEN bracelet will identify these children (1 adult for every 6 children aged 9 β11 years old)
β’ Children 8 years and under must always have an adult in the water within arms reach β A PINK bracelet will identify these children (1 adult in the water for every 3 children under 8 years old)
β’ If you believe that your 7-8 year old is a competent swimmer and you should be able to observe from the deck instead of in the water, you can request a swim test with a Supervisor.
Drop-In fees:
β’ Individual Drop-in: $4.50 per swim
β’ Family/Group Drop-in: $15 per group β includes up to six people. Children 3 years and under are free!
10 Punch Passes:

Intermediate Workplace First Aid

Inclusion lessons are for participants who may require extra support to participate in private or group swimming lessons. Inclusion spots are limited and are based on staff availability. There are no added fees for Inclusion support.
Inclusion Swim Lesson Registration:

Private lessons for one participant | $105.00 for four-30 min lessons. Semi-private lessons for two participants (no more than one swim level apart) | $160.00 for four-30 min lessons (You must have two participants before registering). We offer private and semi-private lessons for children and adults. These lessons teach specific skills and build confidence. Participants are not guaranteed to pass a swimming level in one block of these private lessons. | Private/ Semi-Private Lessons: Beginning on Wednesday, June 3 at 9:00am, call (902) 798-8391 ext 228 and leave a voicemail to be placed on a list. A staff person will be in contact to schedule your lessons.

Registration is required. There is a limit of 2 weeks of Summer Camp per child.
We offer recreation programs facilitated with youth leaders who receive on-going recreation training. Our programs are not licensed childcare nor part of the educational system. However, in all programs, we have safeguards in place to keep children safe β safety is our priority. We appreciate your kindness as you interact with youth staff who are in a learning environment.
If your child requires one-on-one assistance in school, we can support your child to have a summer camp experience with support from Limitless NS. We have limited spaces in each camp for one-on-one support.
Your child requires one-on-one assistance if they:
β’ are not fully independent in the washroom; and/or
β’ cannot stay with the group (needs a sensory quiet zone away from others/group, runs away while outside, etc.); and/or
β’ is aggressive towards themselves and/or others

13 β 15 years | Location, dates, and times align with each Summer Camp | Cost: Free, limit of one week per Junior Leader | Are you interested in volunteering in Summer Camp to develop employability skills like interacting positively with children, voice projection, team communication, and more. Cost: $10 per WHRM resident | $40 per Non-WRHM resident | Join us for two half-days of camp! This is perfect for children who are new to camp and want to test it out or for those who struggle with full days. This mini camp is not included in the 2 week maximum per child so you can add this to your two weeks of regular camp.

Dinosaur Camp | August 4 β 7 (no camp on Monday August 3) | 8:15 am β 4:45 pm | Learn and explore prehistoric times! Children will learn about fossils, prehistoric life, and the science of dinosaurs through interactive activities.
August 10 β14 | 8:15 am β 4:45 pm | A hands-on transportation-themed camp where children explore how vehicles move through fun science, engineering, and creative activities.
Camp Cozy | August 17 β 21 | 8:15 am β 4:45 pm
This camp will focus on learning mindfulness through activities, creativity, and cozy funβperfect for children who love a gentler, more relaxing camp vibe.
Big Summer Blowout | August 24 β 26 (3 day-camp) | 8:15 am β 4:45 pm | An energetic, high-fun camp featuring lots of games, activities, and themed events designed to make the summer feel like one big celebration.
