Mayor's Welcome
Find that 'something' to inspire you!
Dear neighbours and visitors,
As winter settles in, and then as spring is welcomed, I hope you are inspired by the opportunties and natural beauty in every nook and cranny of West Hants.
With 52 communities within our Municipality, there is vibrancy around every corner: between our community halls, municipal programs and facilities, local businesses, and our community organizations, there is always something to do! Check out the Community Calendar regularly at westhants.ca/communitycalendar for event listings throughout West Hants.
As we strive to safely welcome all community members into our recreation programs and facilities, we acknowledge that you hold great power. While attending our programs and events, please come with the understanding that we do not tolerate discrimination and harassment. Together we will provide safe spaces for all. WHRM is currently developing an Equity, Anti-Racism, and Accessibility Strategy with action items being finalized for April 1, 2025 to support all our community members.
We take a ‘Community Navigation’ customer service approach to find the best fit, solution, and support for an active lifestyle within our community. If you face barriers (such as financial struggle, need extra support, etc.) to participating in activities, please reach out to explore options with us. We are here to help.
