West Hants
Mayor's Welcome
Find that 'something' to inspire you!
Dear neighbours and visitors,
As we welcome Summer, and dream of Fall in West Hants, I hope you are inspired by the amazing amount of activities and events to participate in throughout our region. Between our municipal programs and facilities, local businesses, and our community organizations, there is always something to do! Check out the Community Calendar regularly at www.westhants.ca/communitycalendar
All our programming, events, and opportunities occur in Mi’kma’ki, the traditional and ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaq People. We are grateful to live and play here, appreciate our natural surroundings, and respect this land. We are all treaty people.
I encourage you to pack a picnic or stop for lunch as you take a daytrip around West Hants, enjoy the many municipal parks and trail systems, take advantage of the Free Equipment Loan Program, or visit a local heritage site to learn more about our local history. With 52 communities in our Municipality, there is something to see and do in every nook and cranny of West Hants!
Sincerely,
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility
As we strive to safely welcome all community members into our recreation programs and facilities, we acknowledge that you hold great power. While attending our programs and events, please come with the understanding that we do not tolerate discrimination and harassment
