While American weekly jobless claims are at the lowest level since 1969, the task of landing a job or internship is always daunting. Our seniors are graduating at a time of uncertainty and many are weary of making long-term decisions. The SLCD helps students with with this transition and we’ve broken this overwhelming process into 4 main steps – see next page for types of appointments:

1. Know yourself – identify strengths, interests, values, possible goals

2. Know where you want to work – research labor market, analyze qualifications and identify companies that align with goals

3. Get ready for the search – prepare a resume and LinkedIn profile, do mock interview

4. Start searching – use a variety of methods, practice etiquette.
