Every year, SLCD provides about 50-70 classroom presentations on a variety of topics. During the response to the coronavirus, we offer live or recorded presentations you can use in your online courses. Please visit this link to request a presentation.
Appointments
Service Learning & Career Development is open and available during the response to the coronavirus! We are inviting students to meet with our counselors and staff via phone, email or Google Hangout.
We’ve listed our spring events on the second page, but in line with WOU’s response to the Coronavirus, the SLCD will suspend any events until classes are back to in-person format
We are pleased to open submissions for the 2020-21 The WOU Community Internship Program (WOUCIP)
• Funding for 16 paid student internship positions
• No cost to the department or office. Funding is available for up to 200 hours per internship - 10hrs./week for 20 weeks of the Winter and Spring terms.
• Students apply, are interviewed, and are selected for internships each Fall term.
The deadline for departments and offices to submit proposals is Friday, April 17, 2020. Selected proposals will be announced on Friday, May 29, 2020.
