WELCOME to WCT’s 2013/14 Season ...our 38th season of producing incredible professional theatre for Kamloops audiences! When programming this season, our goal was to experiment with theatrical form. To produce and present theatrical productions that all ask the question, “What is theatre?” To that end, the season includes a hilarious, fully improvised production; the world premiere of a new work performed without text; a real-life mother and son telling a heartwarming true story; a door-slamming, laugh-riot farce; and an incredible Broadway musical. Each of these productions is innovative in form, and each will leave you wanting more! We’re also very excited to announce that our 13/14 season marks the premiere of the High-Wire Festival. You’ll definitely want to come check out the innovative, experimental work at the festival this season – all of which will continue to ask the question, “What is theatre?” We’ll also continue our very popular Pay-What-YouCan matinees to ensure everyone can experience live theatre. Plus, we will offer even more programming created specifically for young children! It’s an amazing season that will leave you saying: “Now this is theatre!”
