Clergy Well-Being: Insights and Action
A highlight of the event was the presentation of findings from Wespath’s 2025 Clergy Well-Being Survey. The data revealed a steady decline in overall well-being among clergy over the past decade, especially for those serving multiple congregations or in part-time roles. Physical, financial, emotional, spiritual and social well-being are deeply interconnected, with the survey underscoring the need for renewed focus on support systems. The event surfaced a strong desire for ongoing opportunities to connect with peers, share resources, and receive support tailored for part-time and bivocational ministry.

Heeding John Wesley’s Counsel: Adding Movement to Your Workday

In the world of science, when testing a hypothesis, an experiment must be replicable to ensure the results are consistent and not due to chance or error. In his book “Primitive Physick,” published in 1747, John Wesley hypothesized, “Those who read or write much should learn to do it standing; otherwise it will impair their health.” Nearly three centuries later, studies have repeatedly confirmed Wesley’s theory may be considered scientific fact.
