A fond farewell

Family has always served as the foundation for my life, and for the past twenty years the Wesley School community has been a very important part of my family. As a parent, a teacher, and an administrator at Wesley, I have learned and grown, supported and been supported, loved and been loved, and Wesley has truly been my second home. I will always cherish the deep connections I’ve made with so many wonderful people — students, colleagues, parents — and it has been my pleasure and privilege to witness the amazing growth of wonderful students and to work with excellent colleagues and parents.

A school is a reflection of the people that make up the community, and Wesley is so special because Wesley people are truly special. An undeniable and crucial attribute of Wesley is the ongoing generosity of the parents, who give so freely of their time, energy, expertise, and resources. The Wesley community thrives as a result of this generosity, and the school is dependent on the contributions of families that appreciate, support, and embody Wesley’s mission. For my family, including three Wesley graduates, and for me, it has been an honor to be embraced and supported by this wonderful school community, and I am profoundly grateful to Wesley parents for their stalwart support of the school. Even though I am not there physically, a part of my heart will always remain at Wesley.
