Wesley Artist of the Year 2026 The Wesley Artist of the Year 2026 was a huge success, attracting over 150 entries from talented students across the school. The exceptionally high standard of work made the judging process a challenging one. Our main judges brought their individual expertise to the task: artist and storyteller, Helen McNulty, and former Wesley student and architecture student, Laura Scott, spent over two hours carefully deliberating before selecting the winners. We are very grateful for the time, care and thought they dedicated to the process. Special prizes were also awarded by members of the Parent Teacher Association, Debbie McGowan and Ian Somerford, whose support of the arts in the school is much appreciated.
We are delighted to congratulate the Wesley Artist of the Year, Matthew Foley, with ‘Self Portrait’, our cover image for this edition, and Junior Wesley Artist of the Year, Cici Zhang, with ‘Stone Steps’ (on our back cover). Well done to everyone who entered this year’s competition: the creativity and skill on display were outstanding.
