THE RIDGE REPORT A monthly publication sharing the latest activities and updates at Wesleyan's Sandy Ridge Campus

THANK YOU SENIORS! What a gift our 2022 Senior Class gave us! For their traditional Senior Service Day, the entire 12th grade class showed up to help beautify our grounds. From laying sod and mulch to pulling weeds, their "whatever it takes" attitude was contagious. Their contributions will be enjoyed by our Wesleyan families and many of our guests visiting the Sandy Ridge campus for events and tournaments this summer.

COMING IN 2023: WCA TRACK! In our efforts to further develop the Sandy Ridge Campus, one project has risen to the top of the list: a new eight-lane track that will encircle the existing soccer field. This will be a tremendous addition to our athletic program. Ideally, we will begin raising funds this summer and begin building the track this fall so that it is ready for the Wesleyan track team to use in Spring 2023. We are excited to get this project underway and as Dr. David Ray, Head of School, shares in this month's video (upper right), we have a plan to make that happen which involves you, our Wesleyan family and friends. For more information about that plan, please flip to the next page!

Building the Heart of Wesleyan's Sandy Ridge Campus

Around the Ridge Enjoy a few more images of the Sandy Ridge Campus! We know many of you have not had an opportunity to visit the Sandy Ridge Campus recently, so we thought we'd share a few images with you!

Example of a Cross Courtyard Many of you may have been given the opportunity to purchase a brick or other item as part of a fundraising campaign in previous years. Later this summer, Wesleyan will be initiating a brick campaign of its own, but the Leadership team and Board of Directors believe this campaign is very special and unique to who we are as a school. This campaign will not only give alumni, parents, grandparents, students, and friends a means to financially and nominally contribute to our campus, but it will also enable Wesleyan to build a Christian Cross at the center of our campus, made of these very bricks. This Cross will be a permanent, physical symbol of Wesleyan's statement of faith in Jesus Christ that every individual who visits our school, be it prospective family, current students, grandparents or alumni, will see. Practically, the brick Cross will do two things: 1) serve as a gathering place for our student body throughout the years and 2) fund the new eight-lane track discussed earlier in this issue. As Dr. Ray shared in his video message, we believe this will be a blessing to the entire Wesleyan family. You can expect to hear more details about how you can get involved in this campaign in the coming weeks!
