A Message To Our Community On May 17, 2017, thanks to the generosity of the citizens living in the district, Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools embarked on an incredible journey.

On behalf of Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools and the Board of Education, I would like to extend a sincere, “Thank you” to our community for the most magnificent gift our students will ever receive. Your support will transform the education of the children in the district for generations to come. Our students will have access to state-of-the-art technology, flexible learning spaces and cutting-edge classrooms; all of which will enhance their learning experiences.

After two years, we have reached the final phases of this journey and we are about to celebrate the opening of our new schools.

A Message From Your Treasurer On August 6, 2019, the district will have an initiative on the ballot, Issue 1.

The request for funding became necessary following cuts from the State of Ohio of approximately 9% of the district’s annual budget. If passed, Issue 1 will generate approximately $8.3 million, which is the same as the amount of money cut by the state.

Funds from this levy will be used for general operating expenses, such fuel for buses, teacher salaries and technology used in classrooms, safety upgrades, and will NOT be used for construction. The funds being used for the new buildings were generated by the bond issue passed in 2015.
