Michael Santora is currently the Founder and CEO of Logic, Inc., a Logistics Software and Automation developer. Michael’s vision takes a different approach to logistics and supply chain automation to accelerate urban logistics, dark warehouses and integrated intermodal transportation. In partnership with Wentworth, Michael and his team are accelerating fully automated warehouses and integrated autonomous transportation.

Prior to Logic, Michael co-founded Crown Holdings, a New York City based real estate development company and served as its president. Concurrently he served as a principal of the international architecture practice Scott Brownrigg (SB+C) where he led the Digital Twin and Advanced Technologies sectors, a partnership with Crown Architecture which Michael co-founded in 2008.

Michael was a Presidential Academic Achievement Award Winner under President Clinton and graduated from Wentworth in 2005 with a degree in architecture. Michael currently serves as a Trustee and is Chair of the Advancement Committee of the Board. He is an inductee of the WACE Hall of Fame. He was the first young alumni at Wentworth to endow a scholarship in 2015. He is a recipient of the Wentworth’s Alumni Association’s Young Alumni Award (2015) and serves as Wentworth’s first Entrepreneur in Residence where he will help create corporate partnerships, drive interdisciplinary engagement and mentor rising Wentworth entrepreneurs through Accelerate.

Michael is married to Christina (Manino) Santora.

Martin Mkohi is an Architecture major with a concentration in Emerging Technologies. Originally from Tanzania, Martin brings a global perspective and a deep appreciation for cultural diversity to his design work.

He gained his first Co-op experience internationally at C Concept Design in the Netherlands, where he worked as a Junior Designer. His second Co-op was at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as an Assistant Project Manager, where he currently continues to work.

At Wentworth, Martin has been an active leader and advocate for inclusive design. He served as Treasurer of the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS), contributing to national competitions and events. He also represented the university in the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), competing in the 2024 custom-build housing competition held in Las Vegas.

One of Martin’s most notable achievements includes his involvement in the design of the 2024 Boston Society of Architecture Awards Trophy, created using computational design and robotic 3D printing.

Guided by his roots and passion for innovation, Martin plans to pursue a career focused on a blend of healthcare and technology architecture.

The academic procession and the regalia worn by the faculty, officers of the university, and students symbolize the continuing link between the modern American university and the founding of the great medieval universities in Europe.

The mace of the Institute symbolizes the authority invested in the president by the Board of Trustees and is borne by the president of the Faculty Senate.

The caps and gowns worn in the procession descend from medieval dress. The bachelor’s gown is a robe with long-pointed sleeves. Master’s gowns are arranged so that the arm emerges from a long sleeve through a slit at the wrist.

The mortarboard cap is the most common style and appeared in the 16th or 17th century. It usually has a black tassel attached. At Wentworth, the student wearing the red tassel is the Beatty Award recipient for having the highest grade point average of any graduate, and those wearing silver tassels are Alumni Award recipients being recognized for outstanding achievement.

Drawing inspiration from the hood on the habit worn by monks, the commencement hood demonstrates a student’s degree through its color:

Architecture – blue-violet

Business & Management – drab or tan

Engineering – orange

Industrial Design – dark brown

Interior Design – bilberry

Science – golden yellow

The lining of the hood, the portion most visible from the rear, indicates the institution awarding the degree — black and gold for Wentworth.

Solid-colored cords worn around the neck by students indicate that they graduated with honors. A gold cord indicates highest honors (summa cum laude), a red cord indicates high honors (magna cum laude), and a white cord indicates honors (cum laude). An orange cord represents the Engineering Honor Society; a navy and silver cord represents the Tri-Alpha Honor Society for first generation college students; and a red, white, and blue cord is worn by Veterans.
