Bolstering Our Community Because of your efforts, our students thrive. The Wentworth Fund has been instrumental in granting our students access to a high-quality education that leads to personal achievement and professional success. This year, our community partners and donors generously gave more than $2 million to the Wentworth Fund. This support helped make it possible for nearly every student to beneft from signifcant fnancial aid, with an average of $30,000 awarded to each student.

“ Thank you to everyone who has donated to help students like me go to college. I was able to come to Wentworth due to the fnancial aid I received. You all are truly helping change lives.” —Jacob Thomas I Electromechanical Engineering ’26

Philanthropy at Wentworth has also connected students to educational opportunities that extend beyond the classroom by supporting new academic programs, state-of-the-art learning spaces, and ongoing professional partnerships.

Investing in Collaborative, Future-focused Education With your generosity, Wentworth has made advancements in high-quality academic programs offered in accessible, technology-driven learning spaces. In partnership with the School of Management, the School of Computing and Data Sciences launched an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Science in Applied Artifcial Intelligence program, bringing AI-based learning to students across the disciplines of Computing, Business Management, and Construction Management. Supported by a benevolent gift from Douglas D. Schumann, students in the Douglas D. Schumann School of Engineering pursued a newly established Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering program, where they will continue to gain a strong foundation in aerospace systems, flight mechanics, propulsion, and design. Graduate students, including fve National Research Traineeship (NRT) Fellows, enrolled in the school’s inaugural cohort of the Master of Science in Bioengineering program, which was made possible through a signifcant grant. Additionally, thanks to the generosity of the Richard H. Lufkin Memorial Fund’s recent grant, the university plans to purchase a jet engine, which will transform abstract theoretical concepts into tangible, high-stakes engineering reality. Students now have access to two new undergraduate programs in the School of Sciences and Humanities: Climate Resilience and Physics. Through hands-on feld experiences focused on green infrastructure and rigorous scientifc inquiry, these programs prepare students to address environmental challenges and deepen their understanding of the physical world.

“ I love how my classes apply directly to labs and projects, which help with actual skills. The community and opportunity for co-ops also helps motivate me to grow academically and professionally.” —Sarah Duffaut I Biomedical Engineering ’27

Expanding Access to State-of-the Art Learning Spaces Thanks to your support, students have the innovative resources they need to succeed. With construction funded by the George I. Alden Trust, the university recently developed a neuro-inclusive classroom in Wentworth Hall to better assist neurodiverse students who may process information or interact differently than others. The new classroom features acoustic improvements, visual thinking spaces, adaptable furniture for flexible seating options, and advanced technology. Building on Wentworth’s longstanding tradition of hands-on, experiential education, the classroom’s design focuses on supporting teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving for all types of learners. Broadening learning opportunities for students and faculty, the School of Architecture and Design opened Wentworth’s frst research hub, the Community Design + Research Center (CDRC), to help advance community-engaged scholarship, applied research, public-interest design, interdisciplinary collaboration, and civic partnerships.

Elevating Our Athletics Programs With the generosity of our donors, more than $283,000 was raised to support Wentworth’s club and varsity athletic teams. The generous support of our donors has led to extraordinary success in our athletic teams’ accomplishments this year, and student-athletes garnered many noteworthy achievements, including the women’s volleyball team, which earned the title of Conference of New England (CNE) champions, and the men’s volleyball team, which became the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) champions. Other accolades include six student-athletes who received the President’s Award for Academic Excellence and Co-Curricular Involvement, a student-athlete who amassed the CNE Scholar Athlete of the Year award for ice hockey and baseball, and another who earned the CNE Scholar Athlete of the Year award for softball.

“ I am grateful for the opportunity to attend Wentworth, allowing me to broaden my horizons past the rural setting. It also provides me time to participate in athletics, which improves my mental and physical health.” — Emma Schaumloffel I Civil Engineering ’28

Created to meet the evolving needs of Wentworth’s diverse student body, the newly renovated space merges two former classrooms into a single, flexible environment. The project aims to better support neurodiverse students by addressing common classroom concerns regarding seating, group size, and lighting.

To provide additional resources for students, and in partnership with Student Affairs and the Department of Athletics, the School of Computing and Data Sciences developed an eSports competition area in one of its laboratories. Students use the lab for classwork during the day and for eSports practices and competitions during evenings and weekends.

Your Generosity in Motion With the continued support of donors, our students engage in exciting educational opportunities, both in and out of the classroom, that enrich their learning and professional experiences for years to come. Thanks to your contributions, our students are better prepared to launch their careers. From enhancing Wentworth’s academic programs to directly impacting students through scholarship support, your generosity makes all the difference.
