The Bulletin provides a look at local life beneath the Redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains
Celebrating Harvest by Wendy Sigmund The Santa Cruz Mountain’s Second Annual Harvest Festival was a great success with plenty of vendors selling everything from toffee to beautiful custom made jewelry, soaps, and clothing. Then there was the entertainment. Take One, The Bootleggers, The Troubadours, and Freesia Raine, just to name a few of the bands which delighted the crowd.

No harvest Festival would be complete without the traditional pumpkin patch, a wonderful kids play area, and the first ever Boulder Creek Bulletin Jam Making Contest. The Harvest Festival was held on Saturday September 29 in the empty lot between Taqueria Los Amigos and the building housing Jenna Sues and the Boulder Creek Bulletin. It extended into the parking lot behind the building and over to the parking lot behind Boulder Creek Hardware and Joe’s Bar. Last but not at all least was the local beer and wine vendors. Terra Salvia Wines and Boulder Creek Brewery offered some great selections. The most talked about beer was offered by Uncommon Brewery: Bacon flavored Beer.
