Drawing on the Museum’s archives and using photos and personal testimonies, this exhibition reflects how the town and its people adapted to the war.
Exhibition to Celebrate the Life of George Hogg 1915-1945 from 24th July
This man, little-known in the UK and even in his home town of Harpenden, is renowned in China with statues in multiple cities and celebrated as a hero for rescuing a school of 60 boys by marching them 700 miles out of danger away from the invading Japanese army.
