Puma 50 over RAF Halton
Message from the organiser, Alison: "Thanks to all the lovely people that have contacted me to be on the trail this year. More people are very welcome to join so if you live within walking distance of Wendover and you could create something entertaining for the Scarecrow Trail please send me a message, https://www. facebook.com/SummerScarecrowTrail. Last year we had 37 people display scarecrows, this year it would be great to have 50. Let’s make this great fun for children and adults alike!!!"

Wendover residents were treated to a flight of 9 Puma helicopters on the morning of Wednesday 7 July. They flew in from the direction of Chequers (see above), over RAF Halton and departed in the direction of RAF High Wycombe (below). They were celebrating 50 years of service with the RAF and included flypasts of notable locations for the Puma Force over the past 50 years. This flight was part of Leg 1. There were three Legs altogether that day, starting and ending at RAF Benson.

To celebrate the completion of training at RAF Halton, flypasts will take place, weather permitting. At press date, flypast dates have not been agreed.
