Local In-Home Care business Right at Home launched with plan for new care jobs

Tell me about Right at Home

Right at Home is a high-quality provider of care services to support people to continue living at home. Established in 2010 in the UK, it manages a network of over sixty independently owned businesses. We have an exceptional reputation built on clients’ reviews across the UK. I own Right at Home Aylesbury Vale and Chiltern, which will serve communities from Thame to Wendover, Aylesbury and surrounding villages. My office team is based nearby in Aston Clinton. We are partners with the Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia Friends and the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity.

Why did you choose to start a business in Home Care?

I have been supervising my mother’s care with the same dedicated team for six years. Everyone deserves the same care that I have witnessed, offered with choice and dignity in the comfort of their own home.

Social isolation is increasing among older people. There is demand for high quality, consistent companionship and personal care at home that promotes both mental and physical wellbeing of our most vulnerable citizens.

I believe that success lies in hand picking and investing in individuals who have the right personal values and a gift for caring. We adopt a holistic approach to looking after the wellbeing of our clients, delivered in the “right way” with grace and humility. It is a privilege to be able to employ local people, and to serve our valued community. We are recruiting to meet increasing demand locally.

How are you managing during Covid 19 conditions?

We know how important it is for our clients and their families to feel connected with each other and maintain regular contact during the pandemic, particularly during these cold winter months. Our carers can help clients to use Face Time or Skype so they can speak to their relatives ‘face-to-face’. They are also a trusted, friendly and familiar face with whom clients can share their thoughts and feelings.

The team can also pick up shopping and collect prescriptions so clients can avoid unnecessary contact.

The safety of our clients and staff is our first priority. All carers are equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to complete visits safely. They have had thorough training on infection prevention and control.

Covid 19 will be with us for some time but with the right policies and processes we can continue to operate safely for clients and carers.
