The 4-point hanging hardware system comes standard on all beds and has reduced movement from the 2-point system—3’ in total. When installing, allow 18” of room in front and behind the swing.

If you are looking for more motion in your swing, a 2-point hanging hardware system is available and has a 4’ sway. When installing, allow 24” of room in front and behind the swing.

EYEBOLTS

For your safety, refer to a licensed contractor for blocking and eye bolt installation.

Threaded Links

Once the eye bolts are in place, add a quick link (provided in the swing kit) with a threaded opening to each eye bolt. This will be attached to the chain in the next step. Close it securely by turning the nut by hand.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Attach each chain (provided in swing kit) to the threaded link hanging off the eyebolt above. As a general rule, a swing is most comfortable with the seat hung about 17-19” off the ground. Adjust the swing to your comfort, making sure it’s level. Remove any excess chain using bolt cutters.

MAINTENANCE

To ensure the longevity of your swing, we recommend regularly checking for wear and fatigue from the elements and performing these checks at least once a year. You will periodically need to re-paint, stain, or seal a wooden swing to keep it from deteriorating. If you live in an area with high humidity or near the ocean, we suggest sealing your swing once a year.
