Starting any new activity is a daunting experience for most people. When starting a new activity such as Muay Thai people are understandably very nervous and maybe even a little bit scared.

These feelings usually last until about halfway through the first class, at this point they have realised that the class is full of other beginners just like themselves and that everyone is friendly and encouraging.

Welcome to the National sport of Thailand, known as one of the best combat striking systems in the world, Muay Thai.

What are the benefits of Muay Thai?

The most obvious benefit will be improved fitness, you can’t help getting fitter when training in a martial art like Muay Thai.

Your stamina will improve, and you will gain a lot more energy to carry yourself throughout the day making you fitter, stronger, and faster. Muay Thai also builds mental strength, to push your limits when you are ready. If not, don’t worry, there’s plenty of time to grow.

What can you expect?

Do you need to be fit? No! You do not need to be fit to train Muay Thai. Muay Thai will make you fit! Classes start with a gentle and easy-to-follow warm up, until you are ready to be challenged and improve your fitness. Get social! You will learn an ancient martial art, which consists of various striking techniques and combinations. Some pad work and partner drills will be involved.

Enjoy yourself! Most of all, you will enjoy yourself as this is not only a workout but a social and friendly class.
