WELL SERVED - Stories and Spirits: a collection of cocktail recipes and the books they were created for…

Did you - or someone else - create a special cocktail to celebrate your book? If so, let's share them with readers!

WELL SERVED is another fun way to get our books seen. Every cocktail recipe will consist of a four page spread. 1st page will be a photo of the author enjoying their drink, 2nd page will be the recipe, 3rd page will be an image of the book's cover, and the 4th page will be the book's description.

The call for submissions will close at the end of June, 2023. Publication date for WELL SERVED is set for November of 2023 and will be available for purchase through all online retailers including my favorite - bookshop.org. All contributors will receive one contributor's copy from three dogs write press and lots of fun opportunities to promote each other on WELL READ Magazine's social media pages.

My good friend, musician and mixologist extraordinaire, Kathryn Dow Borghesani designed “Bourbon Kisses” for the launch of Double Exposure because my main character Annie Hawkins loves bourbon.

The second book in the award-winning Annie Hawkins series, Double Exposure.

In Double Exposure, seasoned war photojournalist Annie Hawkins returns home after an assignment to find her life falling apart. She’s under investigation for an incident that happened six months earlier in Afghanistan. Her best friend’s daughter, Seema, is still missing, apparently with her Taliban boyfriend. Her daughter Mel and friends are busy fundraising to rebuild the Wad Qol Secondary School for Girls and expect Annie to deliver the money. To make matters worse, she has a major argument with the love of her life, Finn Cerelli, and they’re no longer speaking.

When Annie returns to Afghanistan to cover peace talks between the government and the Taliban, she takes a side trip to Wad Qol, where she discovers that not everyone wants the new school. Sabotage delays construction, and when a worker ends up dead, it’s clear the militants are to blame. It’s also obvious that they know exactly where Annie is.
