Sixth Form Centre Now Open

Last September we saw the handover of the Sixth Form Centre and what a fantastic space this is. This is a much anticipated build, and it has not disappointed. The space looks amazing and allows the students to work in an environment which enables them to develop their independent study skills.

BBC Children in Need Tabitha Rickshaw Challenge

The whole school turned out to see Tabitha, Matt Baker, Pudsey and the entourage, and we are sure that the BBC could not have hoped for a better send off for the last full day of the Rickshaw Challenge. The students were fantastic, cheering Tabitha off and hopefully giving her that last bit of oomph to cycle the 36 miles to Silverstone. It felt so, so special, with what must have been a thousand people lining the route.

Exam Success!

We celebrated exam result success across the entire School last Summer, a true reflection of hard work and dedication from students and staff.

A level results were in and the pass rate of 100%, with 25% of grades at A*, represent incredible outcomes for our students. They leave us to take up opportunities stretching from Newcastle to Exeter, with courses that range from Accounting to Yacht Design via Dance, Electrical Engineering, Fashion, Medicine, Politics and Real Estate.

Old Wellingburian ('04-'08), Hamza Yassin won this years Strictly come dancing! We felt the excitement across the School throughout the show and are so proud of his achievement. He is also one of Britain's up and coming wildlife photographers and presenters, continuing to inspire students at Wellingborough School.
