Email template to send to teams To help you easily communicate what QTSA is all about with your teams, and how they can encourage guests to explore, we’ve created an email template for you to share with staff.

@myquestteam Our Quest to see Australia initiative ramps up! Hi team, Over the coming months, our national initiative – Quest to see Australia – will be promoted in paid Quest advertising, our custom publication Quest Quarterly, and on Quest-owned channels. This campaign features curated road trips that connect our properties across the country, encouraging guests to explore with the brand they trust. It’s our chance to significantly grow our leisure travel offering by showcasing what makes us unique – the fact that we’re a connected network of properties powered by passionate local experts: us! No other brand in Australia can offer this. This is a fantastic opportunity to share the best of our region and inspire our guests to see more of Australia with Quest. Not only is it a strong brand differentiator, but a value-add proposition that lets us showcase the heart of what makes the Quest network so special. We have access to social media and in-property assets which will make letting people know about the new initiative even more seamless. If you have any questions, ideas or inspiration, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Best, [Franchise Name]

Front desk experience Ensure your staff are well-informed about the Quest to see Australia campaign and can confidently speak to guests about it. A positive and knowledgeable front desk experience is key to encouraging uptake.

Example dialogue "Welcome to Quest! While you're here, we’d love to tell you about our new Quest to see Australia road trips. We have 15 amazing itineraries on our website that connect our properties, making it easy to explore more of Australia. If you're interested, I can show you how to book multiple Quest locations in one go, right from our website. It’s a great way to plan your next adventure!"

FAQs & conversation starters We know it can be hard to explain something new, which is why we’ve created a template with potential questions and answers for front desk staff. Guest: “I saw an ad about Quest to see Australia. What exactly is it?” Front desk: “It’s our new collection of exciting road trip itineraries, created with local knowledge from across the Quest network. It’s a way to explore more of Australia while staying with a brand you can trust. It also lets you book multiple Quest locations in a single booking to make it easy.” 14

Front desk experience Guest: “Is it a guided tour? Do I have to follow a schedule?” Front desk: “Not at all. It’s completely flexible for self-driving. We provide the suggested destinations and the Quest hotels to stay at, but you’re in control of your adventure. Think of it as a great travel plan, ready to go!” Guest: “How do I book one of these road trips?” Front desk: “It’s all done through our website, and you can book multiple stays in one transaction. We’re pretty proud of that part. I can bring it up on your phone to show you if you’d like.” Guest: “What’s the benefit to me? Can’t I just book different hotels myself?” Front desk: “Of course! But this way, it’s one convenient booking, and you get the consistency of the Quest experience at every stop. The whole point is to introduce you to places you might not have experienced before.” Guest: “Does the cost include just the hotels, or activities as well?” Front desk: “The price covers your hotel stays. The activities are like a choose-your-own-adventure of local recommendations. You can do as many or as few as you like.” Guest: “Is it cheaper to book it as a road trip?” Front desk: “The price is based on our best available rate for the dates you choose. The real value is in the convenience of the one-stop booking and having a trusted itinerary to make your travel planning effortless.”

Photography style Keen to capture your own region for social media? Here are some best-practice pointers.

1. Lighting matters: Choose the right time Early morning or late afternoon (“golden hour”) provide soft, warm lighting ideal for beautiful exterior and interior photos. Avoid midday sun, which creates harsh shadows.

2. Orientation: Think social media first Vertical (portrait) shots are best for Instagram Stories, Reels or TikTok. Horizontal (landscape) shots are perfect for website banners, Facebook and traditional posts.

3. Highlight genuine experiences Capture real, natural moments (staff interacting, vibrant local scenes) to showcase authentic community connections. Avoid overly staged images; genuine smiles and actions resonate most.

4. Make use of reflections and angles Use reflections from windows, mirrors or water to add depth and creativity. Experiment with angles by holding your phone slightly above or below eye-level to capture unique perspectives.

5. Declutter and frame the shot Quickly tidy up spaces before photographing; remove distracting objects. Use natural framing (doorways, arches, trees) to guide viewers’ eyes directly to your subject. 18

Make it As Local As You Like It One of the most powerful ways you can bring Quest to see Australia to life is by getting hyper-local, just as our brand promises. Our positioning, As Local As You Like It, means more than proximity. It’s about local connection, knowledge, and experiences. And the success of this national initiative relies on exactly that – a strong local partnership strategy that enriches every guest’s stay. Start by identifying unique businesses in your area that align with our guests’ interests, from must-visit eateries to local tours, wellness spots, markets, or even small retailers. For example: Feature a local restaurant in your next social post or welcome recommendation. Partner with a nearby tour operator to offer special rates or shuttle pickups from your property In return, promote these partners on your social channels and recommend them to guests in person. This creates an authentic referral network that drives business in both directions, and proves that Quest offers more than just a great place to stay. It proves that we deliver on our promise: No one knows local like we do. Let’s make sure every guest experience feels truly As Local As You Like It. 19

In-property collateral Prominently display in-property collateral to promote Quest to see Australia. This makes the campaign easily accessible to guests who may be inspired to plan their next trip during their stay and serves as a reminder of the unique travel opportunities available through Quest.
