hello FROM KRISTI

A nother

week has flown by! I find it so funny that time is not slowing down, even though I have. Typically, this time of year I’m operating at full speed ahead---go, go, go...here, there, and everywhere! So how is it possible that the days are still going by so quickly? At Welcome Home RGV, just because we’ve canceled our events doesn’t mean we have slowed down. Quite the contrary, really. There are plenty of things to do, and since we canceled our events, there’s plenty of things to undo, as well. We’re taking this time to be strategic with what we do and, most importantly, how we spend our time. I’m not one to really sit around and wait for things to happen, so I’ve taken this time to clean up a few things--moving out of storage units, updating databases, organizing storage closets. Doesn’t sound like that much fun, but, honestly, it’s been fantastic.

The pork tenderloin sandwich, more commonly served in the Midwest region, is a popular dish on the Riverside Club menu.

A couple two-steps to the beat in the dance hall. The Riverside Club sits on the bank of the Rio Grande, offering beautiful views of the river and Mexico.

outh Texas is chock full of ‘best kept secrets,’ and Mission’s Riverside Club could easily top the list. This bar and grill, which also boasts a dance hall and outdoorevent venue, rests right on the banks of the Rio Grande in full view of Mexico’s brush land. The restaurant offers plenty of indoor dining, and the covered outdoor patio and deck, with views of the meandering river, encourages slowing down and taking your time. Next door, the spacious dance hall

I am hoping to knock out as many projects as I can so once this pandemic is behind us, I can concentrate on what truly matters. Spending time with you all is high on that list! •
