One thing is for
sure; doing things with friends is more fun than going it alone. The same goes for travel. Going on an adventure with a group is so much more fun than going by yourself. Even if you're going somewhere you’ve been before or someplace you frequent, it is more enjoyable if you're with friends. You see things differently when you are with others. Perspectives change, and you may even travel at a different pace. Cruising is my favorite thing to do as a group because once you’re on the ship, you can see as much of (or as little of) the people you’re traveling with as you choose.

But don’t get me wrong. Cruising is not the only type of trip I like to take! Just a few short weeks after we get back from our cruise, we’re going on another group trip, this time to Mexico City. Seeing the monarchbutterfly sanctuary has always been on my bucket list, and I’m ecstatic to report that I will share that experience with those traveling with us.
f you have attended a Welcome Home RGV hosted expo or fair in recent years, you may recall meeting Jackie Russell. To further boost your memory, she often oversees the Texas Tornado cash-grab booth as a representative of Texas Regional Bank. One Saturday in January, Jackie was once again giving away cash and prizes on behalf of Texas Regional Bank. The event was the Texas Freedom Chili Fest, a full-on show of appreciation for Texas Freedom account holders. Executives from the bank squared off in a challenge to prepare the best chili. relaxed. David Estes, executive V.P. and trust officer for Texas Regional Bank, took home the winning plaque and bragging rights. However, he readily confessed during his acceptance speech that his wife, Stacey, was the true chef. “I’m really just in charge of opening cans. I even got a new can opener this year,” he exclaimed. It’s all in the family between Texas Regional Bank employees and Texas Freedom account holders. “It is a family. I’ve always referred to our customers as our family because, well, they are; therefore, we’re going to treat them like family,” Russell stated emphatically.
