hello FROM KRISTI

F a n t a s t i c

entertainment is something we are so thankful for here in the Rio Grande Valley. Whether it’s bluegrass, gospel, comedy, 50s, 60s or 70s, there is no shortage of entertainment options across the Valley for you this winter. Whether you want to enjoy the entertainment in the comfort of your own resort, venture out to a neighboring park, attend a production at the new McAllen Performing Arts Center, or catch a show at the local high school, the options truly are endless! The talent we have in South Texas is second to none, and we are grateful for so many opportunities to be entertained. Every year, new talent seems to find us. How lucky are we? It’s just another reason to love wintering in South Texas. This winter, we want to hear about your favorite acts, duos, family bands, and theater productions. Let us know who you love and who is on your must-see list! We might just join you to catch a show! • We’re just connecting the dots,

Kristi

SEASON SPONSORS

The

McAllen Wind Ensemble (formerly the McAllen Town Band) is currently embarking on its 44th concert season. The ensemble’s focus continues to be on improving the quality of life in the Rio Grande Valley through regular public concerts, fostering and promoting a greater appreciation of music by the general public, and encouraging continued interest and participation in music by members of the community. Last year, under the leadership of Musical Director Roger Olivarez, the ensemble took up residence at the new McAllen Performing Arts Center, the best performance-concert venue in the Valley. In addition to our traditional Tree Lighting Concert in December at the McAllen Convention Center and our July 4th Concert at Archer Park in McAllen, our 2018-19 season concerts include:
