your RV park, I’ll be far, far away sail-ebrating on the 2nd annual ‘Cruise with Kristi’. As a matter of fact, I’ll probably more than likely be snorkeling with stingrays in Grand Cayman. It’s a tough job, I know – but somebody has to do it! This year, we have 172 Winter Texans who have signed up to go with us. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around that – that so many people want to celebrate with us. I’m beyond thrilled with the response and we look forward to doing it all over again next year.

Clogover Vine! Cowboy! Stomp Double! Special to Welcome Home RGV

The

RGV annually hosts an afternoon clogging festival, aptly named Clog-in-Fest Fun Dance, which is open to all cloggers. This year’s event was held January 23 and was hosted by the Texas Country Cloggers at Bentsen Grove in Mission. Clogging steps are cued by the instructors, and the dancers execute

them with style and flare. Outhouse! Clogover Vine! Stomp Double! Walk the Dog! Cues are given in time for the dancers to complete the current step in anticipation of the next one. The dancers have a great sense of rhythm and timing. Their shoes have metal double-taps on the heels and CLOGGING FUN AT BENTSEN GROVE RESORT CONTINUED ON PAGE 27 >>

Traveling with a group of this size is something I’ve never done before but I’m a new believer in the benefits in group travel. It’s so fun to meet new people, share the experience yet still have the opportunity to disappear if the urge to do so grabs you! We have a lot of things in the works at Welcome Home RGV, and we hope you’ll join us on one of our many outings scheduled for the coming year. Interested? Call our office at 956-687-5115 and learn more about how you can ‘get away’ with us! • We’re just connecting the dots,

Kristi
