Oklahoma

I have to take this opportunity to

tell you what’s on my mind before many of you decide to head north. I absolutely love my job. I love all we do to help keep you informed of what’s going on across this wonderful Valley, and I love the camaraderie we’ve built over the past nine years. I have to admit, I’ve been a little weepy this season, in awe of it all. I started this business nine years ago on my dining room table with about $300 in the bank. I had a vision, and with the help of countless friends, volunteers, and some really amazing team members, we’ve been able to grow into what we are today. It’s hard to believe, but by the time you return in the fall, we will be celebrating our tenth anniversary. We take great pride in this paper. It’s all about YOU. It’s a compilation of all the great fun and great things you do during your Valley adventures. It’s a place where you learn about each other, learn from each other, and stay in the loop about all there is to see and do. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all of your love and support over the past nine years. Whether you’ve watched us from the beginning or you're just 'tuning in,' we couldn’t have done it without you. We have great things in store for you next season, and we look forward to being here for you for many years to come! •

We’re just connecting the dots,

Kristi

Nearby at the newly opened Margaritaville Casino & Restaurant at River Spirit Casino Resort, visitors can relax Jimmy-Buffett style in a tropicalthemed atmosphere with refreshing

frozen drinks and delicious food. Just up the road is Tulsa. Oklahoma’s s e c o n d largest city offers many u n i q u e experiences, including two world-class museums, the Philbrook Museum of Art and Gilcrease Museum, and the gorgeous Tulsa Botanic Garden. There’s also plenty to see in Claremore, a town on Interstate 44 just 30 miles east of Tulsa. Visitors can learn about Oklahoma’s

favorite son at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, where you can see Rogers memorabilia, watch his movies. and pay your respects at the late humorist’s
