publisher’s note H ELLO FROM KRIS T I

WELCOME HOME, WINTER TEXANS!! BIENVENUE CHEZ-NOUS, WINTER TEXANS!! We hope your holidays were as wonderful as ours, but we could hardly wait for them to end. “Why?” you ask. Because we know that in January, all of you who wait until the holidays are over to make your way south will finally be here. We miss you when you’re gone!

It’s always such a joy for us to see you again and to get caught up on what has happened in your lives since you left in the spring. We love seeing new faces, too, and look forward to sharing the Rio Grande Valley with all of you “Winter Texan newbies.” We hope this will be the first year of many you will spend with us.

There’s so much to do in South Texas, and we love having the opportunity to share it all with you. Shopping, eating out, dancing, playing golf, bird-watching, bicycling, bus tours….volunteering at our schools, hospitals, libraries and non profit organizations …or visiting different cities each week to take in all they have to offer….you never need to be bored in the Rio Grande Valley.

We would love for you to “Like” us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/whrgv) and to visit our web site (www.welcomehomergv.com). Please check both of them out regularly because we will be sharing lots of information with you on Valley events, volunteer opportunities, and local businesses that are happy to serve you!

WELCOME HOME!!! We’re so glad you’re here!!!

We’re just connecting the dots,
