We have been in love with The Little Big Book for Moms for ten years now. It is a classic that should sit next to What to Expect When You Are Expecting. And, so often, it has. This little chunky book is packed but eminently portable, with more than three hundred images and pieces. Everything a mom might need…from songs and games to stories and poems. And, to the rescue for all those overwhelmed moms of the four million babies born last year in America, comes The Ultimate Organizer for Moms. We have become masters at making charming, hard-working journals and this one is guaranteed to make mom’s life easier. How fitting it is that these books for moms share a list with Jeannette Montgomery Barron’s My Mother’s Clothes, one of the most touching and beautiful books we have ever published. A

photographic ode to a mother—poetic, riveting, and elegant—it is part fashion diary, part personal memoir, part memorial and part life celebration. Every mother should be so loved by her daughter. And then there is Wes Walker’s exquisite Hidden Napa Valley…an expanded and larger edition updated with dozens of new photographs and locations—as well as an index and resource guide of wineries and restaurants. Tourists will be tempted to tuck many away in their suitcases. Jon Ortner’s mini Canyon Wilderness of the Southwest will now slip into backpacks and travel the world. As gorgeous as Jon’s sumptuous, dazzling images are in the huge, magnificent format of the limited edition we published last year, this perfectly miniaturized version is every bit as stunning but eminently more affordable. Let’s do some wonderful things together.

“She was not a socialite; that’s the wrong word. She was a woman who used her influence to get things done.”

my mother’s clothes Written and Photographed by Jeannette Montgomery Barron

This is a book about the depth of a daughter’s love, and the breadth of a mother’s life; it is about letting go, but never forgetting…. A photographer’s love letter to her late mother, whose five year struggle with Alzheimer’s and devout passion for couture clothing inspired this poignant and moving photo essay which sparkles with the memories of her mother’s glamorous and fashionable life. In My Mother’s Clothes, photographer Jeannette Montgomery Barron creates a poignant and enduring portrait of her late mother through still life images of her cherished clothing, shoes, and personal possessions. As her mother’s battle with the disease progressed, robbing her of any remembered past, Montgomery Barron began this unique visual album as a way of both sparking her mother’s memories, and coping with her own sense of loss. Poetic, riveting, elegant, My Mother’s Clothes is part fashion diary, part personal memoir, part loving memorial, and part life celebration. An inspiring and intimate true story told in picture and word that will be cherished by mothers and daughters, by fashion lovers and photography fans, by those grieving the loss of a loved one or anyone suffering from or affected by Alzheimer’s.

“In the last few months of her life, my mother invented new phrases and words. ‘Very Plus’ meant something was really great. I use the phrase all the time now. ‘Slim Peas’ meant that a piece of clothing fit just right, I’m pretty certain.”

It’s a beautiful thing, our country’s Constitution, and this extraordinary limited edition gives it its due. Nonagenarian Sam Fink’s unadorned, classically simple calligraphy and exquisite illustrations—originally done in pen-and-ink in 1987 and newly painted in color for these imposing folios (15" x 22")—are approachable and profoundly affecting, underscoring what an elegantly simple document our forefathers had the wisdom and forethought to craft. Housed in an exquisite deep clamshell box (16-1/4" x 23-1/4") and lined in blue Saifu cloth, it also contains a limited-edition print of the entire Constitution, newly calligraphed onto one sheet, signed and numbered by Sam Fink. It is a worthy addition to any home.

Ed itiO n s Inscribed & illustrated by Sam Fink • $500.00 ($645.00 CAN) • 44 loose folios, each 22” x 16-3/4”, in a 23-1/4” x 18” x 1-1/4” clamshell box; includes a separate folio with the English translation and a print signed and numbered by Sam Fink • Limited to 1,000 signed and numbered copies • ISBN 978-1-59962-040-4 ART/RELIGION–JUDAISM www.welcomebooks.com/exodus The Book of Exodus was originally conceived by artist Sam Fink as a gift to his family, now living in Israel. In these folio prints Sam Fink reaches his family across an ocean—and readers around the world—with breathtaking images that speak to this powerful story. Each watercolor is meticulously hand-lettered with the Old Testament text, in Hebrew and in the Jewish Publication Society’s 1917 English translation. Housed in a blue cloth-covered clamshell box.
