Munro House Nursery & Kindergarten Newsletter – Jan ‘11 Learning Diaries Thank you for your feedback regarding the children’s learning diaries and the progress reports that accompanied these. Due to the fact that children’s learning diaries are added to very regularly it is not always possible for us to send these home as often as we may like. For this reason we encourage that parents/ carers ask to see these at any time. We would also welcome anything parents/ carers may like to offer to add to children’s learning diaries.
Valentine’s Dance – Monday 14th Feb. Cupid will be dropping into Munro House as we enjoy our Valentines Dance and a lovingly prepared two course lunch of Rosie Red Tomato Soup with Heart Shaped Croutons and sandwiches followed by Peaches and Cream.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents/ carers for Christmas cards and gifts given. These are very much appreciated.
Robert Burns’ Day On Tues, 25th Jan. all children will be enjoying Scottish dancing, making tartan, and of course a delicious Burns Supper of mince, neeps and tatties (with haggis to taste)
Chinese New Year (Kung Hei Fat Choy!!)Thursday 3rd Feb. Our Nursery chef, Wei, who is originally from Beijing will be preparing a Chinese banquet for all to enjoy.
Thank you to Parents/ carers for their support in ensuring that all children, staff and parents/ carers made it home safely during the severe weather conditions we experienced for a few days in December .Thank you also for all your positive comments and feedback regarding the level of service we managed to provide during this time.
We are pleased to say that Danielle (or Dee Dee as many of the children call her) will be rejoining the staff team after some time spent living in Ireland. Danielle will be back at Munro House in early February. Building work is coming along well in the new 0-2 area and we are hoping that within the next few weeks it will be ready for use. When work is complete do feel free to ask to have a look around!

Please feel free take the time to have a look at these and share your thoughts and suggestions with us through discussion or through our comments box. Policies can be found in the ‘Documents of Interest’ folder in the Nursery Reception area and displayed around the Nursery and Kindergarten.
