Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival Returns for 38th Year WELLS A popular tradition continues the weekend after Labor Day as the Laudholm Nature Crafts Festival returns to the Wells Reserve at Laudholm for its 38th year. Artwork and fine crafts by New England artisans will be on display Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is a celebration of art, craft, and community, as well as the largest annual fundraiser for the Wells Reserve at Laudholm. This year’s festival will feature more than 150 juried artisans showcasing painting, photography, ceramics, jewelry, fiber crafts, mixed-media work, and more. ELIOT Fi r s t C o n g r e g a t io n a l Church of Eliot will host its 11th annual Wild Blueberry Festival on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1361 State Road in Eliot. The small but mighty church will celebrate all things blueberry with a festival that has become a community tradition. Organized by the church’s “fun-raising” team, the festival will offer something for everyone. The morning will begin with fresh, “made-with-love” blueberry pancakes served from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Guests can stay for crafts, children’s activities, local vendors offering handmade wares and previously loved jewelry, and secondhand finds from Upscale Resale. For lunch, festivalgoers can enjoy pulled pork or chicken sandwiches. The Spruce Creek Chorale will provide entertainment early in the morning, with The Stairwells taking over later in the day.
Those who love live local music will appreciate the performances throughout the day. The First Congregational Church of Eliot has kept everyone in mind with this joyous, faithfilled, blueberry-flavored event. With all proceeds supporting the church’s mission and ministry, there is even more reason to come out and enjoy a day filled with blueberries, music, crafts, food and community.
