Annual Blueberry Festival & Craft Celebrates 50 Years KENNEBUNK First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Kennebunk is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its annual Blueberry Festival & Craft Fair. Bringing together neighbors, families, artists, and blueberry lovers, the event is a community tradition spanning five decades. The festival has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated summer events. What started as a small church fundraiser has evolved into a vibrant celebration of community spirit, local artistry and craftsmanship, and blueberry pies and buckle, attracting hundreds of visitors
each year. The festival takes place Saturday, July 25, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First Parish UU, 114 Main St., Kennebunk, and will feature more than 45 local artisans
and craftspeople, homemade baked goods, live entertainment, food vendors, and the festival’s famous blueberry dishes. “This festival has become so much more than a fundrais-
er,” said festival leader Marylyn Wentworth. “For fifty years, it has been a gathering place where friendships are formed, traditions are passed down, and our community comes together to
celebrate creativity, generosity, and connection. We are honored to keep that legacy going strong.” Activities include expanded artisan and craft exhibits, raffles featuring a canoe and artisan goods as prizes, commemorative Blueberry Fair merchandise, food booths featuring local seafood and vegan options, live music and entertainment throughout the day, the Kennebunk Library Book Fair, and a celebration honoring the generations who have helped make the festival a success. 12th Annual HarborFest Returns Saturday, July 25 WELLS Wells HarborFest returns for its 12th year on Saturday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wells Harbor Community Park, 331 Harbor Road, Wells. The harbor’s largest annual event brings the community together for a day of live music, games, food, contests, and family-friendly activities. One of HarborFest’s signature events, the International Lobster Trap Toss offers cash prizes to the top three male and top three female competitors. Congdon’s Doughnuts will once again sponsor the doughnut eating contest, while Common Ground Band will provide live music throughout the event.
