Riverfest Duck Race Supports Local, International Charities KENNEBUNKPORT The annual Riverfest Duck Race fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Kennebunkport will take place Saturday, Aug. 15, at 3 p.m. at Dock Square in Kennebunkport. The race is the highlight of the annual Riverfest community festival. During the event, thousands of rubber ducks are dropped into the Kennebunk River at “Duck Square” and race downstream for a chance to win the grand prize. Proceeds from the fundraiser support local, national, and international charitable programs, including Caring Unlimited, COS Food Pantry, dictionaries for RSU 21 third-grade students, scholarships for KHS seniors, the MKS Interact Club, Rotary Youth Leadership programs, worldwide polio eradication efforts, hurricane and wildfire relief funds, beautification of Rotary Park, and many other initiatives. ‘Anything That Floats’ Returns to Ogunquit OGUNQUIT One of Ogunquit’s most beloved summer traditions is back! The Ogunquit Parks and Recreation Committee will once again host the annual “Anything That Floats” event Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to noon at Ogunquit Beach on the river side. Registration begins at 10 a.m., with prizes awarded at noon. Participants are invited to bring their creativity and sense of fun to the water by designing and entering a one-of-a-kind f loat. Whether homemade or store-bought, classic or quirky,
and can be purchased by contacting the Rotary Club of Kennebunkport at kennebunkportrotaryclub@gmail.com. Ducks also will be available for purchase on the day of the event. Purchasers do not receive a physical duck. Rotary assigns ducks for the race drop. Prices are $5 for one duck, $10 for three ducks, $20 for seven ducks, and
$25 for 10 ducks. Payments may be made in cash or through Venmo. Winners will be notified by email at the address provided during checkout and announced on Facebook the day of the race. All funds will support the Kennebunkport Rotary Club’s community projects in the coming year.

Torch to the Peace Run team.
