hair or wear blue nail polish for the month of October to raise funds and awareness for the CAC of York County which supports victims of child abuse. Donations for the Beards for Bucks fundraiser can be made by visiting www.gofundme.com/f/ cac-of-york-county-beards-forbucks. Visitors can donate on behalf of a specific police department or officer. Several local departments are participating include the Kennebunks, Kittery, the Berwicks, Ogunquit, York, and Wells. The CAC of York County supports children and their fam-
ilies in cases of child sexual abuse and works closely with law enforcement across the county. Together, they provide hope and healing to some of our most vulnerable community members. In the past three years, we’ve seen over 475 referrals for children in need of our services. For the past two years, law enforcement partners have helped raise funds for things like toys, books, games, and supplies for the center. Please consider donating and if you see one of our bearded officers around town, thank them for their support and service!
