Larissa Crockett Appointed as Next Wells Town Manager WELLS The Wells Board of Selectmen announced the appointment of Larissa L. Crockett as the next Wells Town Manager at their July 7 meeting. Crockett is currently the Assistant Town Manager in Scarborough and will replace Jonathan Carter who is retiring as Town Manager. The Board undertook a recruitment campaign prior

to the pandemic shutdown in March and recently interviewed a number of candidates for the position. “Ms. Crockett is the candidate that met all of our criteria and was unanimously supported by the Board as someone we wanted to join the Wells Municipal Team,” stated Chairman Karl Ekstedt. She will start her duties on or about August 10.

L.L. Bean Bootmobile Makes Stop OGUNQUIT This Saturday and Sunday, July 18 and 19, L.L. Bean’s famous Bootmobile will be making a stop in the north parking lot of the Ogunquit Playhouse campus, 10 Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. The event will include games, shopping and plenty of outdoor fun for the whole family! The Bootmobile is 11’6” tall, 20’6” long and 7’6” wide!
