In a sublime dialogue of textures, rare Italian marbles soften into the iconic contours of the bag, turning archival patterns into a collector’s masterpiece where centuries-old heritage honors contemporary art.
Created entirely in Italy, the Pasticcino Bag Italian Roots brings together two exceptional ateliers, each preserving a remarkable chapter of the country’s artistic legacy. The exclusive jacquard fabrics are created in Florence by Fondazione Arte della Seta Lisio. Here, historical technical drawings (“Messe in carta”) from the archive are meticulously translated and adapted by expert technicians for precision mechanical looms, transforming fine yarns into three-dimensional, richly textured broccatelli. Inspired by Renaissance architectural motifs, every fabric seamlessly bridges historical savoir-faire with advanced weaving expertise. The iconic boule clasp is reinterpreted by Budri Alta Sartoria del Marmo, the maison internationally renowned for its mastery of natural stone. Each pair of spheres undergoes a complex, nine-stage production cycle—from high-precision 360-degree CNC milling of solid marble blocks to hand-gluing internal cores and meticulous manual finishing. No two pieces are ever exactly alike, making each numbered bag a unique expression of Italian artistry. Presented in dedicated packaging, the Pasticcino Bag Italian Roots celebrates ten years of the icon through pure Italian excellence.
