Masks in workplaces as COVID-19 strikes back
GLADYS GOES HARD Masks are now compulsory in workplaces while singing and dancing is off the agenda yet again as New South Wales deals with a fresh outbreak of COVID-19 in the community. New restrictions came into force on Wednes-
day, which include a limit of five visitors to homes, including children, and a restriction on dance and gym classes to 20 people. The strict new rules will be in place until at least next Thursday morning.
“We don’t take these steps lightly and we never want to impose restrictions unless we absolutely have to,” NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said. “We know the effect this will have on resi-
dents and venues but we must take this action now to ensure we keep on top of this outbreak.” Health Minister Brad Hazzard declared: “The pandemic is far from over.”
