HOT SPOT GOES COLD Penrith locals now free to travel to ACT, NT The Northern Territory and ACT have removed the Penrith area as a COVID- 19 hot spot, meaning locals are free to travel to the regions – with a late summer holiday now on the agenda.

Penrith remains shut out from much of the country due to restrictions put in place over the festive period, with COVID- 19 cases popping up across several clusters in Sydney, including at Berala in the city’s west.

But the Penrith Local Government Area has no active COVID- 19 cases, and has largely escaped any scares, with no local venues on NSW Health’s alert list since Penrith RSL just prior to Christmas.

Locals are still being urged to get tested for COVID-19 even if the most minor of symptoms develop, with results being delivered quickly. More details on » p. 6
