Frustrated High Street business owners say they may close their doors

ore construction on High Street could see a number of angry retailers close their doors before the end of the year, leaving numerous empty shops in Penrith’s CBD. The end is finally in sight for construction works on the Triangle Park at the western end
of High Street, but retailers have been hit with more frustrating news. Upgrades to High Street will see the road closed between Station Street and Riley Street for at least a month towards the end of the year. It’ll not only reduce passing traffic, but will also take a number of parking spots out of play. Some retailers say they’ve had enough and are threatening to quit the Penrith CBD.
