Big crowds at Penrith Stadium and other public places could be vulnerable to a terrorist
attack using a vehicle similar to what we’ve seen overseas, according to Penrith Councillor Marcus Cornish. Cr Cornish wants the community to take a proactive approach to the daunting prospect of
a terror attack by beefing up security measures across the city. He wants to identify vulnerable areas within Penrith and St Marys, and look at the use of bollards and barriers.
It comes as Penrith Police Station increases its security measures, installing sturdier and thicker silver bollards at its entryway to prevent potential incidents. Read the full story on page 3
