THE HEARTBEAT OF PENRITH

BAT WARNING NSW Health has issued a warning to Penrith residents about the deadly Lyssavirus that can be contracted if scratched or bitten by a bat. Due to the severe bushfi res and heatwave there are many bats that are injured and locals have been trying to help them. But this kind act could result in scratches and bites, and the transmission of a rabies-like illness that requires immediate medical treatment.
