orld renowned skate boarders and BMX riders will continue to descend on Dulwich Hill’s Jack Shanahan Reserve for the fi nal days of the Festival of Sydney’s Concrete and Bones Sessions today and tomorrow. Part theatre, part dance, part urban street sport, the Concrete and Bone Sessions were described by co-creator Mirabelle Woulters as a site specific work showcasing a mix of skills that blends bodies and wheels against the concrete

November by consulting the youth who regularly use the park. We were a bit worried about going in there and taking over, that they weren’t going to be happy with all these people running around in their skate park. So we really involved them,” she said. The fi rst Festival of Sydney event to be held at Dulwich Hill, Ms Woulters said the Concrete and Bones Sessions has so far been very successful. The fi nal two Concrete and Bones Sessions will take place on January 18 and 19 from 7pm.
