The 102-story Empire State Building is a Modernist Art Deco marvel. The structure was completed in 1931 and remained the tallest building in the world for the next 40-years. Observatories are on the 86th and 102nd floors. The 103rd floor, referred to as the secret floor, has a small balcony that is open only to VIPs.
