Belamere Suites

By Lisa Brant Staff Journalist People to See Team

PERRYSBUGH - There are actually two locations where Belamere Suites are featured: Cumming, Georgia and Perrysburg, Ohio. We chose the one closest to home for a getaway weekend.

The website features the experience as “A Romantic Oasis with Private heated Pools. For my luxury taste, however, it was early check in and late check out to hide in our clean, comfortable room in privacy where we didn’t have to get up early. The expansive, meticulously detailed rooms have vaulted ceilings, warm inviting fireplaces, large whirlpool tubs, and two-person walkin showers complete with body massaging jets. There were lush robes and ample pillows for comfort.

The exceptional part about the pools is there are pool suites allowing us to have our own private, 92 degree pool all to ourselves. Very romantic spot indeed! Belamere Suites Hotel was recognized as the overall winner in the Romance category in 2019 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice® awards for Hotels, ranking #1 in America. Travelers’ Choice award winners were determined based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travelers worldwide. My husband and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary at Belamere Suites Hotel and participated in placing a special lock on the Sweetheart Bridge. Get your lock and have your initials and your special date engraved on it so you can memorialize your love on the bridge. While there was no key to the lock, hubby bought me a chain with a key to wear because he said I’m the “holder” to his heart. Before leaving we wrote our special wish to place on the Make-A-Wish Tree located right outside the office. The belief behind this is a wish experience can be a game-changer. So make a wish, grab your significant other, get your reservations made today and plan to have an extraordinary extended weekend getaway! More information: https:// www.belameresuites.com/

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa

Lake Geneva, WI – Ski season is here and one of the Midwest’s favorite mountain tops is ready with safety guidelines and new protocols in place to enhance guests’ safety and experience.

The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is open and welcomes your visit. With most individuals working remotely and children participating in virtual learning experiences, now is a good time to learn how to ski or snowboard or take that family winter trip that’s always on hold due to busy schedules. Both already naturally social-distanced sports and recreational activities, ski and snowboarding, offers guests a great opportunity to get outdoors in wide open spaces and enjoy movement or learn something new in the fresh winter air. The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva has also aligned itself with the National Ski Areas Association’s “Ski Well, Be Well” campaign. Developed by an advisory group of ski industry leaders, this new campaign promotes the benefits of outdoor winter sports while providing suggested safety guidelines and best practices for low risk recreation to ensure another successful season.

The Mountain Top, a “no-judgement ski and snowboarding zone” located in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, offers over 30 acres with 21 runs, a six-acre terrain park with dedicated lift, 211’ vertical, plus trails and experiences for beginners and those who never had the time to enjoy a ski trip. The award-winning year-round resort also offers a terrain park, trolley transportation to the Mountain Top from resort locations, ski and snowboarding lessons, three chairlifts, two carpet lifts, excellent group rates, food and drinks at Leinenkugel’s Mountain Top Lodge, and night skiing. The Mountain Top also offers the Burton Riglet Park, built with young children in mind with the opportunity for certified instructors to coach kids through beginner courses.

“The 2020-2021 ski season will look slightly different than past years, but we are ready and prepared for another successful season of snow sports and fun,” said Chad Hart, director of ski area operations at The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa. “This year, hotel guests can do their work and schooling in the morning and take a ski break between Zoom calls. Enjoying The Mountain Top is a nice way to break up a daily routine and get moving

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa patio and take in snow-covered lake and golf course views. While guests are encouraged to purchase season passes in advance this year as outdoor activities remain a popular getaway choice among travelers, The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa will continue to sell online daily tickets for skiing, snowboarding, sledding, ice skating and rentals, but only with a set amount available each day, and tickets must be purchased in advance. As the resort continues its CleanCare Pledge and best practices, social distancing requirements must be observed at all times at The Mountain Top, unless skiers reside in the same living unit. Masks or face coverings are also required outdoors at the ski hill whenever physical distancing cannot be achieved. Guests are also encouraged to get ready in their car upon arrival and indoor access is reserved for those utilizing rental equipment, using the restrooms and dining in our restaurants. Guests should visit the Grand Geneva Ski ‘What to Expect” page prior to arrival to ensure their ski day is safe and easy. This year, ski lift lines have been configured to allow for social distancing. Guests are also asked to self-group and load the chair with their traveling party. Single chair rides will be required for non-party access. The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa always maintains the highest standards when it comes to cleaning and sanitizing resort and rental equipment, but is taking it even further this year by increasing the frequency of cleaning high-touch surfaces and additional cleaning of rental equipment pre- and post-skiing. Lift tickets and season passes are already available to be purchased online. Visit grandgenevaski.com for rates, passes, and additional information.

Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and its on-site, allsuite sister property, Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark currently offers special work-from-hotel and schoolcation packages, in addition to ski offerings and deals.
