Legacy of Giving:
Dr. Julie Alm Anderson MANY WAYS
Dr. Julie Alm Anderson’s creativity and passion for life made her a remarkable woman. She passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 71. Born in 1953, Julie completed her internship in family medicine at the University of Maryland Hospital, followed by US Air Force service in Izmir, Turkey, and Lakenheath, England, where she gained valuable clinical experience and cultural exposure. She later specialized in undersea medicine and chronic wound care during her residency.
After retiring to Bradenton, Julie pursued her passions for art, gardening, and music, particularly playing the Irish whistle. She even traveled to Ireland for a lesson with her online teacher. Julie was known for her kindness to animals, her work in hurricane relief, and her involvement in greyhound rescue.
Over the years, because of her love of so many of the experiences, travel, educational elements, and the arts that WEDU PBS brings to all citizens, Julie became a WEDU Visionary, a valued viewer who supports quality programming by remembering WEDU in her estate plan.
For information about including WEDU PBS in your will or other creative ways to give, visit wedugiving.org or contact the Development Department at (813) 739-2959 or giving@wedu.org.
