Local man arrested for murder
Forest Park investigates first homicide in 8 years By JYLLIAN ROACH Staff Reporter
A Forest Park man is out on bond after being accused of murdering his younger brother. Nestor Soto, 38, was arrested on Sept. 22 for the alleged murder of 25-year-old Ivens Soto on Sept. 20. The younger Soto was found in the kitchen of Nestor Soto’s Forest Park home on the 7700 block of Adams Street in a NESTOR SOTO pool of blood. New rec center name harkens back Park board approves Roos Center in 3-1 vote

Forest Park’s new recreation center finally has a name: Roos Recreation Center.
The Park District of Forest Park Board of Commissioners on Monday voted 3-1, with Commissioner Roy Sansone dissenting and Vice President Eric Entler absent, for the name that recreation supervisor Rachell Entler said was already the building’s name in the minds of community members
