REFUSE + PLASTIC FREE POLICY

It is each exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure their site and their chalet is kept smart and tidy at all times. Each exhibitor will be responsible for the removal of their own refuse. There will be limited wheelie bins available on site so these will only be used for the general public. Failure to remove rubbish will result in the security bond being forfeited. Our Stewards will be managing this on a daily basis.

Stewards will be on hand during each day and are responsible for clearing the litter in public bins throughout the trading hours. They will ensure public litter bins are emptied and the whole area of the Christmas Market looks smart and litter-free. They are not employed to take away exhibitors’ litter!

From an event management point of view this will be a plastic free event but we cannot control plastic use for perishable foods as that is governed by different regulations. Please help us protect the environment by thinking carefully about the packaging you use. Consider reusable storage for your stock and non plastic packaging for customers. Our preference would be for biodegradable packaging but if this is unavailable to you it is a must that your packaging for non perishables is able to be recycled.
