Oilfield Industry Ryan & Morgan Remington RR Services
R
yan and Morgan Remington started RR Services 15 years ago in 2008.
“We were just two kids with nothing to lose when we started. We both began working at very young ages and learned early in business that you get what you’re willing to work for! We knew we could do the work.” The Remingtons support all oil and gas services with their company. Together, they provide jobs that don’t require a college degree or previous experience in the oil/gas industry. Both Ryan and Morgan pay and provide training for all the employees that work for them. While there is a nationwide war waging against oil, gas and other natural resourced-energy, Ryan and Morgan understand that oil supplies energy needs on a global level. They understand that oil is crucial to the global economic framework and that oil impacts everything from transportation, electricity, industrial production, and manufacturing. It remains Morgan and Ryan’s goal to source job equipment, tools and supplies locally as much as they possibly can. Their value of our community and economy shows in the respect they have for the work, the people doing the work and the families they are providing jobs for with RR Services. Ryan and Morgan continue to offer quality work, a safe working environment, and integrity while they grow RR Services.

Foundation Stabilization Ryan McCaffrey Western Foam Technologies
R
yan McCaffrey saw an opportunity in Gillette’s unique soil conditions after working on a small crew and observing recurring issues like settling homes, leaking basements, and cracked concrete. He was compelled to provide a lasting solution to these prevalent problems by starting Western Foam Technologies, now serving the Gillette community for over four years. At the heart of Ryan’s business are core values of honesty, integrity, and unmatched professionalism. Understanding that the unpredictable Wyoming weather takes a toll on property, Western Foam Technologies rises to the challenge by guaranteeing jobs done to perfection and backing them with extended warranties. Honest, dependable, cost-effective aren’t just words from Ryan, they are his promise. What sets Western Foam Technologies apart? The company employs an innovative method of leveling foundations and lifting concrete. Rather than replacing entire structures (which can be expensive) they utilize a cutting-edge polyurethane foam technique. This foam, being 100% hydrophobic, ensures that the product never sinks, settles, or deteriorates. Their lifting-stabilizing foam, unique pier-ing, and waterproofing systems are distinct offerings that differentiate them from competitors. These systems are dependable and come with an extended warranty, safeguarding residents’ investments for the long run. Ryan’s mission isn’t only foundations and concrete; it’s also about fostering a strong foundation of trust within the Gillette community. As Ryan describes it, success is “having a positive impact on the community I live in and being someone the people of Gillette can rely on.” By addressing Gillette’s specific challenges with its problematic soil conditions, Western Foam Technologies offers more than just a service, it presents a genuine solution. By employing their unique foam, they rejuvenate Gillette’s natural beauty, one crack at a time. As for the future, Ryan envisions expansive growth, reaching out to areas yet to benefit from Western Foam’s unparalleled offerings. Gillette’s future looks stable and crack-free, thanks to Ryan and his exceptional team.

Charcuterie Christine D’Angelo BOXED by Christine
C
hristine spotted an unmet culinary desire in Gillette during the challenging times of COVID. Many urban areas were experiencing a boom in charcuterie businesses, and Christine wondered, “Why not here?” That thought was the inception of what is now a thriving enterprise, originally offering delightful edible art to the community as a delivery service during the pandemic. Three years on, Boxed by Christine is celebrated for its quality, service, and unwavering commitment to the community. Christine’s passion for food, combined with her keen eye for detail, has introduced Gillette to arrangements that are not just a feast for the eyes, but also the palate. Merging her extensive experience in food and service with a natural inclination for premium fare, Christine crafts experiences that are both innovative and indulgent, typically associated with much larger cities. What truly sets Boxed by Christine apart? The answer lies in the one-ofa-kind grazing tables – a catering option that has no parallels in Gillette. These tables are not just about serving food; they’re about introducing the community to edible art, a concept previously unknown in this locality. But Christine’s vision isn’t just confined to creating delectable arrangements. At the heart of her business lies a deep-rooted belief in giving back to the community. A part of every sale finds its way to the local soup kitchen & food pantry, and regular donations are made to several local nonprofits, ensuring they continue their crucial work. Defining success for Christine is simple: being able to consistently craft beautiful, mouth-watering food, all while giving back to the community and supporting her family. As for the future, Christine envisions a storefront, expanding her services to cater to larger events and introducing an even more diverse menu, making sure Gillette continues to taste and see the beauty of her culinary creations.

Live Horse Racing Jack Greer
307 Horse Racing
J
ack Greer is no newcomer to the horse racing scene; his love for the sport runs deep, spanning five generations of Wyoming lineage and an intimate understanding of the racing industry. Founded in December of 2019, 307 Horse Racing has been a dream in the making by Jack and his dedicated team. Realizing the need for a homegrown Wyoming approach to horse racing, Jack made the audacious decision to set out on his own, launching the company’s first live race meet in spring 2021. What sets Jack’s venture apart is his distinct vision: to rejuvenate Wyoming’s horse racing industry “the Wyoming way.” Unlike the out-of-state operators that ran the show, Jack wanted to establish a racing experience deeply rooted in Wyoming values and dedication. His groundbreaking Derby Clubs, which opened doors in September 2021, offer not just Off Track Betting (OTB) opportunities but also serve as premier local entertainment venues. Jack’s core values read like an ode to the spirit of Wyoming. His company is fiercely committed to fueling the local economy, boasting over 200 local jobs, multiple restaurants, a nightclub, liquor stores, and even a bowling alley. Jack isn’t just about keeping profits within the state; he’s about injecting heart into the industry. 307 Horse Racing has set several records, such as the first $100,000 horse race since the legalization of Historical Horse Racing, and the most purse money distributed in a single day in Wyoming history. Don’t be fooled by the statistics; Jack believes the essence of 307 Horse Racing lies in its dedication to the community and to the horsemen who make it all possible. 307 Horse Racing isn’t just a business; it’s a legacy in motion. While Jack is proud of how far 307 Horse Racing has come, he’s far from finished. With his eyes set on making Wyoming the “summertime place to be” for horse entertainment, Jack Greer is unapologetically ambitious. For him, integrity isn’t just a word; it’s a way of life. For as long as there are races to run and records to break, you can bet that Jack will be there, cheering on from the stands, making history the Wyoming way. 307 Horse Racing isn’t just Jack’s business—it’s his passion, and he invites you to be a part of it. Perhaps you’ll find yourself caught up in the excitement that’s helping shape Wyoming’s future in horse racing.

Reptile Pet Store Lacey Kelly AV Exotics
L
acey Kelly, owner of AV Exotics, isn’t your everyday entrepreneur; she’s a reptile rescuer, educator, and a local supplier of all things chameleon and bearded dragon. Her journey into the world of reptiles began with her own chameleon, which had been given improper care. Her best efforts to right those early wrongs allowed the chameleon to live on for three more years thanks to her diligent attention. This formative experience, coupled with the struggle of finding healthy live insects for her pet, pushed Lacey to start breeding them herself. To her surprise, her endeavor was a resounding success. That wasn’t all; Gillette residents soon began turning to Lacey with their sick reptiles, cementing her decision to fully dedicate herself to this mission. She jumped in with both feet, determined to give the community a reliable source for accurate reptile care advice and high-quality products. Her guiding principle is simple yet profound: “Surviving is not thriving.” Lacey believes that these incredible creatures deserve more than just basic care; they deserve the best. It isn’t simply about selling reptiles and supplies. AV Exotics believes in education—enabling pet owners to understand their scaly friends inside and out. That’s why Lacey goes above and beyond, offering extensive knowledge on chameleons and bearded dragons, as well as locally bred panther chameleons and bearded dragons from top-quality lines. Unique in its approach, AV Exotics shares its space with a car audio/home theater store, diversifying the experience for customers. For Lacey, success isn’t just about sales figures. It’s about seeing the joy in the eyes of a pet owner who has nurtured a reptile from infancy to maturity, thanks to her advice and products. Her success is measured by the happy, thriving reptiles that are part of the local families she serves. Looking ahead, Lacey envisions her store as the continued go-to hub for reptile owners. She aims to keep supplying the community with the best products and expertise, all in the service of making sure our cold-blooded companions live their best possible lives. With a heart as warm as the heat lamps in her store, Lacey and AV Exotics are here to stay, contributing something genuinely unique and caring to the Gillette community.

Auto Body John & Jacklyn Stephenson Hillcrest Auto Body
J
ohn and Jacklyn Stephenson have been a husband/wife business team for the past 7 years. Before calling Gillette home, John had big dreams of one day having his own body shop business. During their time in Utah, John’s sister would travel from Gillette to have John do repairs on her vehicles. When Hillcrest Autobody came up for sale, the Stephenson’s jumped at the opportunity to make John’s dream a reality. Jacklyn and John operate Hillcrest Autobody a bit differently than other body shops. Their main priority is to ensure that every vehicle they repair leaves Hillcrest in as good, if not better condition than it was before. While Jacklyn embodies the welcoming, friendly ethos of customer service that Hillcrest heralds, John represents the education, quality and pride that goes into the high standards Hillcrest has set for the service they provide. While many body shops “pump” as many vehicles in and out as quickly as they can, John and Jacklyn are upfront that Hillcrest is not always the fastest body shop. More importantly, they understand that their customers drive their families around in their vehicles every single day. Hillcrest’s main priority is the safety of their customers and their families, which is exactly why John and Jacklyn go above and beyond to guarantee the repairs are done right before they release vehicles back to their customers. Jacklyn and John love serving the community of Gillette and look forward to the day that they can expand their operations to serve further and beyond.

B
ill and Star Collins share over 60 years of experience in the gym. Their story together began when Star met Bill at a power lifting meet where she was offering massage therapy and he was competing. Their love of fitness and growth mindset inspired them to open American Iron Fitness on December 5th, 2016. Celebrating their 7th year in business, Star and Bill have grown American Iron Fitness from a tiny space that was teasingly nicknamed, “The Closet,” into a thriving community that has expanded into 500 plus members and four times the space they began with. Both Star and Bill share an entrepreneurial spirit with their desire to plan their own retirements and be their own bosses. Their rich history of physical fitness, Bill’s extensive experience in power lifting and desire to better themselves played as key factors in starting American Iron. Bill still holds a world record in power lifting and went to Worlds five times around the globe. “We wanted a business that would help keep people healthy,” Star revealed. American Iron Fitness strives to provide quality gym equipment for health and wellbeing for all its community members. They meticulously designed the space; every piece of equipment has a purpose that blends “old school” fitness with science-rich, innovative technology. Physical Therapy Brittany Farella Core 307 Physical Therapy
F
or the past 5 years, Brittany Farella has been living her dream, leading the way in physical therapy through her clinic, Core 307 Physical Therapy. Inspired by a quote that resonated deeply with her—”I would rather work my ass off every day of my life, than give a man the power to say ‘you wouldn’t have that if it wasn’t for me’”—Brittany decided it was time to bring her vision to life. In 2017, alongside her dear friend and office manager, Tiffany Callaway, Brittany laid the foundation for Core 307. Fast forward to today, and the duo has cultivated an environment that embodies their community-driven values. What sets Core 307 PT apart in one word: Intimacy. They’ve opted for a smaller staff, ensuring every patient feels like part of the family— more than a medical chart. Consistency and rapport are paramount here. Brittany and her team focus on simplifying physical therapy, stripping away the flash to deliver effective, tailored care. And let’s not forget about Gus, the therapy bulldog, bringing an extra dose of comfort to every visit. Brittany has masterfully intertwined her business with the very pillars of Gillette—Coal, oil, ranching, education, thus the name CORE 307. By focusing on the needs specific to the community, they’ve tapped into providing work and recreation-specific physical therapy solutions. They don’t claim to reinvent the wheel, but they do promise that each patient will always be seen by a licensed physical therapist or physical therapy assistant. Brittany’s definition of success resonates well within the walls of her clinic: a referral from a past patient. It’s a tribute to the effective care and personalized treatment that Core 307 PT is known for. Driven by an unyielding commitment to her community and professional development, Brittany is always looking to evolve. She specializes in McKenzie Diagnosis and Treatment (MDT), focusing on conditions related to the spine and mechanical forces on the body. Looking ahead, Brittany has big plans. The next five years will see Core 307 PT in a larger space, with advanced equipment designed to address work-related and recreational rehabilitation. But rest assured, the clinic’s familial environment and commitment to personalized care will remain its cornerstone, just like Brittany’s steadfast vision when she started this journey. For Brittany and her Core 307 PT family, it’s not just about treating patients—it’s about being a part of the fabric that holds Gillette together.

Meadery Sam Clikeman Big Lost Meadery
S
am Clikeman remembers the very moment he started Big Lost Meadery on 12/13/14. He began Big Lost Meadery with the ethos, “to help enjoy the moment.” Sam and his team have created an unparalleled product with their mead, using a style of production that few meaderies around the world utilize. Big Lost’s mead contains a higher ABV and a higher amount of honey than most. Sam is proud to label all products at Big Lost “Made in Gillette, WY.” For several years, he has worked hard to showcase that label in over 40 states in the USA and two other countries. While Sam loves that Gillette is the energy capital of our country, it has been his mission to promote our beloved town in a way that is tangible. Big Lost Meadery is working hard to continue using their brand to promote the community and bringing economic assets back home. The Big Lost Meadery brand itself is not for the faint of heart. Big Lost has been built upon the stories and legends that make life worth living. To truly understand their ethos, Sam uses the Big Lost Cabin as a visual ideal; a place where you are invited to disconnect from the technological stressors of life and the legendary Big Lost characters are there to greet you. Sam and his team have created a tasting room that offers world-class product in an environment that allows you to enjoy the moment. Big Lost Meadery is a family-friendly establishment that Sam has created for the community to be proud of. When looking ahead, Sam desires to expand Big Lost’s operations beyond our state and country, focusing on the Asian market. The flagship brick and mortar in Gillette will always remain, serving as an unparalleled experience that showcases the community and puts a pin on the map for Gillette, Wyoming.

NA3HL Hockey Ethan Hayes The Gillette Wild Hockey
E
stablished in 2010, Gillette Wild Hockey emerged from the collective dream of passionate hockey enthusiasts. With the goal of bringing a higher level of the beloved sport to Gillette, these visionaries laid the foundation for something much more than just a hockey team. Gillette Wild prides itself on being unique. While most junior teams are driven by profit, Gillette Wild stands out. The heart and soul of this team beats for its players, prioritizing their development both on and off the rink. With only the coach receiving a salary, every penny generated by the team is reinvested into the young men’s growth and the team’s success. In a few words, they’re dedicated to “developing life skills in these hockey players.” It’s not just about the game. The true essence of Gillette Wild’s values centers on nurturing well-rounded individuals. They’re not just training hockey players; they’re shaping the citizens of tomorrow. Equipping them with life skills, preparing them for college, and emphasizing the importance of community involvement, this team is in a league of its own. Whether it’s teaching kids how to skate, volunteering at local schools, or supporting charity organizations like the Salvation Army, these young players are constantly giving back. The impact of Gillette Wild on the community is undeniable. Apart from being a source of entertainment, the team has significantly contributed to Gillette. With over $170,000 donated to local nonprofits and countless hours volunteered, they’ve truly made a mark. Their approach not only fills the gaps in much-needed charity organizations, but also introduces players from around the world to the unique culture of Gillette, Wyoming. So, what does success look like for Gillette Wild? It’s seeing every player, who suits up, transition into college teams, leaving Gillette a better individual than when they arrived. Their influence and commitment to the community set them as a role model for other athletic teams in the region. The vision for Gillette Wild remains unchanging. In the next few years, they hope to continue enriching kids’ lives and showering the community with the unmatched excitement of hockey. It’s clear: Gillette Wild is more than just a team; it’s a movement.
