Catering Christine D’Angelo
In Christine’s hands, food transforms into an experience, an edible art form that unites people and memories alike. Five years ago, she launched BOXED by Christine to give Gillette something it didn’t yet have: a catering option that is fresh, creative and outside the box. However, her love for food was born much earlier than that. Growing up in a large Italian family, Christine learned that food wasn’t simply about eating; it was also about gathering. Charcuterie was a natural part of life, long before it became trendy. She can still picture her grandfather lugging wheels of Asiago cheese to the beach, a memory that reminds her of how deeply food is tied to joy, tradition and connection.
at sense of heritage runs through everything Christine creates. “High-quality food is always worth it and pretty food tastes better,” she says. is belief stems from a philosophy she credits to her Italian upbringing, where presentation mattered almost as much as avor. Whether it’s an intimate date-night box, a girl’s night spread or an event for 500 people, Christine curates not just food, but a backdrop for memories. Each grazing table, charcuterie arrangement and thoughtful bite re ects her air for artistry and her belief that food should be as beautiful as it is delicious.
“Food has always been about bringing people together. at’s what I hope to give back.”
Christine blends deep-rooted hospitality with her own creative spirit. In Italian culture, feeding people is a love language, and she has carried that forward into her business. Christine elevates every occasion while making the process stress-free for her clients, ensuring they can focus on enjoying their guests.
Her success for BOXED by Christine is measured in gratitude: the moment a client thanks her for making hosting easy or when she catches sight of people connecting over her creations. Giving back is also central to her story; she proudly supports local nonpro ts, keeping her business rooted in community as much as tradition.
Looking to the future, Christine hopes to continue introducing Gillette to fresh and exciting ways to experience food, making charcuterie and artistic food arrangements a staple at every gathering. “Food has always been about bringing people together,” she says. “ at’s what I hope to give back.” Her goal is simple: to create experiences people love and to prove that beautiful, thoughtful food can transform any occasion.

Auto Body Shop
John & Jacklyn Stephenson
WhenJohn and Jacklyn Stephenson rst visited Gillette over anksgiving in 2015, they expected a quiet holiday getaway. What they unexpectedly found was a city with a heartbeat of kindness, small-town charm and a sense of belonging that they hadn’t experienced anywhere else. “ ere was an instant connection,” Jacklyn remembers. “It felt like a place where neighbors truly look out for one another, where community still means something.”

at weekend planted a seed. What began as a passing thought slowly grew into a vision to build a life here, put down roots and create a business that could give back to the town who welcomed them so warmly. By 2016, that vision became reality when the Stephensons took over ownership of Hillcrest Autobody.

“ ese aren’t just cars. ey’re vehicles that carry families, memories and everyday responsibilities. Our job is to make sure people can get back on the road safely and stress-free.”

Perhaps the greatest distinction is the heart behind the work. “ ese aren’t just cars,” Jacklyn says. “ ey’re vehicles that carry families, memories and everyday responsibilities. Our job is to make sure people can get back on the road safely and stress-free.”
For the Stephensons, success is measured in trust, the kind that inspires customers to send family and friends their way. Each referral represents a job well done and a relationship built on integrity and care.

Downtown Gillette Jessica Seders
For Executive Director Jessica Seders, the work of Gillette Main Street is more than economic development; it’s about heart, history and community pride. “Downtown is the cultural and historic heart of Gillette. It’s worth investing in and showing o ,” Jessica says.
Gillette Main Street’s story began with a group of passionate volunteers in the early 2000’s who formed “Historic Gillette Alive!” to preserve the architectural character and share the story of downtown. eir e orts grew into a 501(c)3 nonpro t in 2006, and by 2010, the movement evolved into what is now Gillette Main Street. In 2015, the organization became a Certi ed Main Street Program through Main Street America and Wyoming Main Street.
“Success for us is seeing downtown thriving again, full of life and memories.”
e timing couldn’t have been more perfect. As Gillette’s population boomed with energy industry growth, development sprawled toward the city’s edges. “Downtown had once been the center of commerce, but foot tra c had dropped and vacancies were at 20%,” Jessica explains. “ e need to reclaim downtown as a cultural and economic center was clear.”
Jessica was hired in 2014 as the rst Executive Director, and under her leadership, Gillette Main Street has worked tirelessly to revitalize the historic district. e results are striking: today, the downtown vacancy rate is just 3%, and more than 1.4 million visits are logged annually. “Success for us is seeing downtown thriving again, full of life and memories,” she says.
Events have played a key role in bringing people back downtown. From the Downtown ursday Night Concert Series to Trick-or-Treat Main Street, Boo-Fest, Brews & Cruise and the beloved Parade of Lights, downtown is once again a place to gather and enjoy life with others. “Events transform downtown into more than a shopping district,” Jessica proudly states. “ ey make it a hub of community life.” Beyond events, Gillette Main Street drives property reinvestment, helps small businesses with promotions and grants, and preserves historic architecture.
As she plans ahead, Jessica envisions even greater momentum. “In ve years, I see more historic buildings restored, more small businesses thriving and downtown fully re-established as both the cultural and economic heart of Gillette,” she says. “Downtown is where our history meets our future.”
